Who's behind the platform?
The platform was founded in 2022 by Robert Winters and Kevin Jannis.
After a challenging search around short-stay and recovery stays in the family environment, they joined forces as digital natives to bring out the availability of care stays in a user-friendly way.
The result is a marketplace for families, family carers and care professionals to apply for short-stay accommodation digitally.
The project lives in the footsteps of the government project kortverblijven.be, but with a stronger focus on requests from hospitals. Since 2023, the government has also been urging hospitals to provide more day hospitalisation interventions, but for frail elderly people this is often a challenging task. This platform offers solutions for this.
IMPORTANT: this is an independent platform supported by VZWs from the healthcare sector. We do not share data with 3rd parties such as the government or advertisers.
